The world is a busy place to live in. And a lot of people experience stress in everyday life.
For me being a full-time mum of two busy tots can be very stressful sometimes. As much as I absolutely love them.
Days are very intense and hardly ever I have a minute of free time for myself during the day.
The best way to get rid of stress and tiredness is to relax.
So here I was going to talk about different ways I use to help myself relax and re-energize.

Tea. One of the easiest ways for me to have a quick break during the day is to have a cup of tea. No matter if it is hot or cold outside I always find a suitable type for the weather and my mood :)
Actually, I've got quite a selection of different sorts of tea. My favourite (for the moment, I like to change my mind) is "earl gray" with the hint of citrus flavour. I've tried so many tea flavours! In the place where I grew up tea is the most popular type of hot drink.
And it's my favourite too.

Doing your hobby. Best way to keep your mind happy and your head stress free is to find yourself a hobby (that's in case if you don't have one yet), and then find a bit of time for your hobby. It doesn't have to be much, but you have to find that time, fit it in the routine of your day. This way you'll always have something to look forward to. It also helps to keep your identity as a person. This is very important 'cause you have to keep yourself happy, and this should be the first priority. If you are not happy, nobody in your family is.
Doing what you love to do (apart from a general routine household work *) ) is a great way of relaxation for your mind and your heart. Keeps you in balance.

Bath. Well, I think, I don't have to describe that.
I think every woman loves baths, well not only women, men also love baths.
I like to add a few drops of the aromatherapy oil into my bath, the best combination I like is the mix of juniper oil and lemon oil.

Traveling. It's an excellent way to relax and have a wonderful time with your family or friends. Or even by yourself. Depends on what you like.
Enjoying new locations, exciting sites, unforgettable destinations.
But you don't have to have a lot of money to enjoy all of that.
You just have to be adventurous and spontaneous. That's the best way to go! Look around, you might find very interesting locations right near you, something different from every day routine is already good enough.

Music. Turning on a positive tune helps you to be in a happy mood.
Try to sing along loud and dance while working around the house. It's fun to do it with kids too.

A favourite book before bed time..... mmmmm..... just what's needed.
Well, quite often I go to bed much earlier than I'd like to. So I don't get a chance to read a lot myself, but I've got a giant list of books which I would like to read.

Watching a movie can be quite relaxing too, especially if you do it the way you want to. Everybody is different, some people like to watch movies without interruptions and without having a conversation with the person they sit next to. I'm the opposite :)
Therefore, when I watch movies on my own, I can pause as many times as I want to! I can go online in the breaks, make myself a cuppa tea, etc.....

Gardening. Spending time in the garden, working with dirt, and planting flowers or veggies can be very calming and soothing. There is something special about it. It's like coming back home from a busy day at work. Nature is our home, place where we are always welcome, interacting with nature is very rewarding.

Meditation. I discovered meditation for myself a few years ago, that's a wonderful way to connect with your body and soul, to find and understand yourself. For me the book by Anthony de Mello "Sadhana meditations" was absolutely brilliant. It taught me a few lessons about myself and the world surrounding me. You never forget the lessons, once you learned them.

Yoga and exercising. I also add here bike riding, fishing, sports and other physical activities. Fantastic way to keep you body and mind fit.

There are a lot of different ways to relax.
Think of what you want to do most at the moment when you've got your free time.
