A box of kisses

I have found this story on my friend's blog page. It touched my heart so deeply, that I could not go past it without sharing it.

A Box of Kisses
by Author Unknown

The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy." He was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found the box was empty. He yelled at her, "Don't you know that when you give someone a present, there's supposed to be something inside it?" The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said,"Oh, Daddy, it is not empty. I blew kisses into the box. All for you, Daddy." The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness.

It is told that the man kept that gold box by his bed for years and whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us as humans have been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, friends, family and God. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

"Every great dream begins with a dreamer.
Always remember, you have within you
the strength, the patience,
and the passion to reach for the stars
to change the world"

Hello Autumn!

"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you,
and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop off like autumn leaves"
- John Muir

While Northern Hemisphere celebrates spring, we are welcoming the autumn season in Australia. For me it is the second favourite season after spring, when days become cooler and nights cozier. It's time to harvest and prepare for winter.

Where time does not exist

"I have never been able to grasp the meaning of time.
I don't believe it exists. I've felt this again and again,
when alone and out in nature.
On such occasions, time does not exist.
Nor does the future exist"

- Thor Heyerdahl

I have fallen in love with this park! We have visited it a few times now. The nature there reminds me of Russian nature, something so close to my heart. But at the same time it's so unique!

Always ready. By Paulo Coelho

Even so, now and again we hear the following comment:

“I always believe in dreams, I often try to combat injustice, but I always end up disappointed.”

A warrior of light knows that certain impossible battles are worth fighting and so is not afraid of being disappointed, knowing the power of his/her love. He/she vehemently rejects those who are unable to take decisions and are always trying to pass on to others the responsibility for all the bad that happens in the world.

A friend once sent me a text that said:

“Today a heavy rainstorm caught me by surprise when I was walking down the street
“Thank God I had my umbrella and raincoat. Except that they were both in my car, parked quite a distance away.
“While I was running to get them I thought what a strange sign I was receiving from God – we always have the necessary resources to face the storms that life prepares for us, but most times these resources are locked away in the bottom of our heart and this makes us waste an enormous amount of time trying to find them.
“And when we finally find them, we have already been defeated by adversity.”

So, let us always be prepared; otherwise we will miss our chance, we will lose the battle.
